1. Choose your hero via Single draft mode.
2. Right Click on heroes in the scoreboard.
3. The option will be clearly visible in the score board.
4. Click on the swap hero option with your allies  you want to swap.
5. Remember you can not swap your hero after creeps spawn.

DOTA 2 Cheats Single Player Commands

DOTA 2 single player commands (also called Cheats) are very useful way to get familiar with DOTA 2 environment.  By enabling these commands you can easily have your desired gold, items, heroes and several creeping options like spawning creeps and killing creeps. 1. Create a private lobby game in Dota 2 and check ‘Enable Cheats’ box.
2. When the game begins, open you chat chat box by pressing “Enter” button.
3. Write down you desired command followed by dash [ - ].
4. Press enter and check the results.

-refresh	-refresh	Resets cooldowns and gives full hp/mana
-respawn	-respawn	Respawns your hero

-disablecreepspawn -enablecreepspawn	-disablecreepspawn -enablecreepspawn	Disables lane creep spawning. Use -enablecreepspawn to undo this change.
-startgame	-startgame	Sets timer to 0:00, creeps spawns…game starts.
-killcreeps	-killcreeps	Kill all creeps.
-killwards	-killwards	Destroys all wards.
-wtf -unwtf	-wtf -unwtf	Removes cooldown, Mana cost etc. Use -unwtf to undo this change.
-item <item_name>	-item item_blink	Gives specified item
-givebots <item_name>	-givebots item_blink	Give all bots the specified item.
-ping	-ping	Displays ping time with server.
-createhero <unit_name> [enemy]	-createhero npc_dota_hero_lion -createhero npc_dota_hero_lion enemy -createhero npc_dota_goodguys_siege	Creates specified unit [as enemy]

 Note: The above mentioned commands will only work in single player mode. Make sure you have enabled cheats while creating game.

How To Guide Dota 2 Brightness Problem [Fix]

You can’t adjust/increase the brightness level in-game, the slider doesn’t work even after you apply the changes, the game gets too dark making it sort of unplayable. Luckily, there’s a fix available for this issue using a small console command.

• Open console by pressing “~” key (read this guide if you don’t have console enabled).
• Now enter this command:
mat_monitorgamma 1.6

- You can switch the values from 1.6 to 2.6 depending on how bright the game you want.
• It should fix the brightness problem for you. If you try reconfigure the brightness from game settings it will become dark again.
If the problem persists, you need to change the monitor gamma/brightness from your Graphic card options (for e.g. ATI Catalyst Control Cente/Nvidia Control Panel).

How to Open DOTA 2 Console (DOTA 2 Guide)

DOTA 2 console is a command line interface by which users can change their settings during the game without configuring the game options. There are many features which only exist and can be triggered through console, For e.g. Right click deny, brightness adjustment, mouse sensitivity etc.

How to Open DOTA 2 Console Guide:-

1. Log-in your Steam account.
2. Open the games library.
3. Right click on the DOTA 2 and open it’s properties.

4. Click on “Set Launch Option”.

5. Type “-console” (without quotes) in the Launch Options box and press ok.

Now whenever you start Dota 2 via Steam the console will pop-up automatically everytime. You can re-access it by pressing ~ or ` key below [Esc] key.

How To Play Dota 2 in Windowed Mode

Valve has added window mode functionality for DOTA 2. It allows players to run the game in windowed mode so they don’t have to switch windows (ALT-TAB) repeatedly to use messengers Skype, YouTube, WLM and other applications. It’s very useful when you’re streaming Dota 2 live games or writing a strategy guide.

Play Dota 2 in Window Mode Guide:-

1. Launch Steam client and login your account.
2. Go the games Library, right-click Dota 2 and open properties
   
   
   
3. Then click, Set game Launch options. And enter “-windowed” command and click ‘OK’
   
   
   
4. It will run the game in Windowed mode. But you need to set Width and Height to according to your needs.
5. Add “-h #” and “-w #” command after “-windowed” to set your specific resolution, replace hash with the number of pixels.
6.  You may need to remove the borders and start-up video, Enter “-noborder” and “-novid” to remove it!
