DotA 2 System Requirements for PC & MAC

Valve is releasing a sequel to most popular Warcraft 3 Mod: Defense of the Ancients, it’s named DOTA 2 basically it’s a remake of current mod with improved graphics and gameplay coming in November (Q4 of 2011). A lot of DotA fanatics are anxiously waiting for DOTA 2 release and they following every bit of information regarding this game.

Here are the expected minimum DOTA 2 System requirements for PC and MAC users. As this game is based on the same Source Engine Valve used for Alien Swarm, we can guess DOTA 2 Specs requirements. IceFrog said in DOTA 2 Q&A that older computers will be able to run the game without any problems:

   We don’t have an official minimum spec just yet. The goal is to make sure that people with older computers and the PCs at LAN centers will be able to support the game, while also allowing for newer computers to scale well.

* Processor: Pentium 4 3.0GHz or AMD Athlon equivalent
* Memory: 1 GB for XP / 2GB for Vista
* Graphics: DirectX 9 compatible video card with 128 MB, Shader model 2.0. ATI X800, NVidia 7800 or better
* Hard Drive: 3.0 GB of free space
* Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
* Steam

DOTA 2 Recommended requirements:-

* Operating System: Windows® 7 / Vista / Vista64 / XP / Mac
* Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz or AMD Athlon equivalent
* Memory: 1 GB for XP / 2GB for Vista
* Graphics: DirectX 9 compatible video card with Shader model 3.0. NVidia 8800, ATI 3870 with 512MB memory.
* Hard Drive: 3.0 GB of free space
* Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
* Broadband Internet Connection
* Steam
